Burlington's natural stone has played a pivotal part in the £11million refurbishment programme undertaken by prestige hotel group operator, QHotels, at its stunning Norton Park 4-star deluxe hotel complex in Winchester.
Indeed it is here that Burlington's natural stone vanity tops and splashbacks have been featured within each of the hotel's 185 guest bathrooms, all of which are en suite to luxuriously finished and fully equipped bedrooms.
Specified by Glasgow-based architects Thompson MacLeod as part of the palette of interior finishing materials for the project, Burlington supplied the vanity tops and splashbacks in its pale-green Elterwater stone with a honed finish.
Featuring CNC machined routed cut-outs shaped to accommodate contrasting white ceramic washbasin sanitaryware and contemporary stainless steel taps and accessories, the Elterwater stone vanity units serve to deliver clean lines in terms of the overall interior look of the bathrooms, whilst also providing a high level of functionalism. Installation of the Burlington stone was undertaken by main contractors for the project, Bournemouth-based George & Harding.
