The basin is increasingly being chosen as the key focal point of a bathroom and Roca has now introduced an extensive range of new countertop basins for 2008 with the aim of offering maximum choice.
One of the key designs for this year is Urbi created for Roca by Italian Architect and Designer, Carlo Urbinati. The Urbi range consists of eight different designs in a variety of organic shapes and sizes to cater for the very personal needs of today's consumers. Each design is unique and individual to suit all bathroom styles and some have been created with shallow bowls to encourage reduced water consumption.
Carlo Urbinati is one of the newest designers to be commissioned by Roca to create a contemporary bathroom range. The inspiration for Urbi stems directly from Urbinati's love of Barcelona with its unique combination of art and the avant garde mixed with a nostalgic tribute to memories of his Grandfather and a less complicated life when a simple ceramic bowl placed by the bed was the way you washed everyday.
The other new ranges, Orbita and Art, are designed at the Roca Design Centre. Contemporary yet unconventional, both ranges offer sinuous shapes with flowing lines and forms. Both ranges offer two basin sizes - a pleasing and compact circular shape, and an elegant oval design.
