October may seem a long way off, but it's all go at the Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA) in preparation for 2008 Annual Bathroom Industry Conference, set to take place on 14 October at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel, Meriden, Warwickshire.

This year's event ‘Sustainable Solutions - Awareness, Engagement & Action', is proving to be popular with major companies who have already registered and, with delegate numbers increasing daily, places are going fast.

The timely topic will consider what sustainability means for the bathroom industry covering Corporate and Social Responsibilities, Sustainable Buildings and water efficiency.

Confirmed speakers include Environment Minister Phil Woolas, designer Wayne Hemmingway, Peter Braithwaite of environmental consultancy Arup, Clare Brass of the SEED Foundation and Julia Goodwin, editor of the campaigning homes title House Beautiful.

BMA Chief Executive Yvonne Orgill comments: "We strive to deliver important, timely information to the bathroom industry via the Annual Conference.

"This year our expert speakers will reveal the Government's plans for water efficiency, the importance of sustainable design, the direction of sustainable communities, what the green consumer wants from their homes and bathrooms and how bathroom industry companies can improve on their corporate and social strategies.

"This is all information that every business in the bathroom industry should know. There's no doubt about it, if you're not there, you'll lose out."

The Annual Bathroom Industry Conference is growing year on year, with attendance up by a third in 2007 from 2006.
