VitrA won't compromise on design
Published:  03 July, 2008

International bathroom manufacturer VitrA offers a number of special needs products as part of its standard collections- meaning they meet DDA regulations whilst showcasing the latest in bathroom design.

VitrA's S50 collection includes a number of DDA-compliant versions of its standard sanitaryware.  Combining hygiene with function and design, the sanitaryware includes handrails, grab bars and higher standing WC pans as well as close-coupled and short wall-hung WC pans and circular and square washbasins.

Similarly, the low level bath in Matteo Thun's Water Jewels collection for VitrA offers easy access for less able individuals in addition to doubling up as a shower tray.

Erol Donmez, managing director of VitrA UK, comments: "Clever design, space saving solutions and careful bathroom planning are of equal concern to mobility-impaired people as able-bodied purchasers.

"At VitrA we recognise that sanitaryware can be compliant with legislation and yet still offer contemporary design."
