Stevens & Jubb, the British bath manufacturer which aims to encourage people to spend more time in the bath, has recently added a complementary safety product, ThermaSsure, to its Comfort range of baths.
The innovative ThermaSsure system maintains the temperature of the bath water at a level chosen by the user, removing the need to replace cooling water. An illuminated digital display is fitted to the top of the bath, which shows the temperature of the water. If the water gets too hot, audible and visual warnings prevent very young and elderly bathers from scalding themselves. In addition, the temperature of the water cannot be set any higher than 43°C, which is well below the 46° limit set in countries such as Scotland.
The Comfort range was developed with safety and relaxation in mind and has a number of features to ensure its baths are accessible to all.
These include stylish cross section hand grips which are included on 3 of the models, to aid getting in and out of the bath. The Comfort range also has a ‘split level' model, which is great for bathing children. Parents can fill the bowl of the bath to bathe children, without getting themselves wet and without wasting any water. This model also has flat hand grips and an extra wide ledge, for additional accessibility.
