Most bathroom and kitchen retailers do display some tiles but most could sell more. Discerning home owners will not complete the purchase of a kitchen or bathroom until they have decided on every detail and that certainly includes the tiles - floor and wall. No-one wants to risk their stylish, state of the art kitchen being ruined by not being able to source tiles to compliment the exact shade of the worktop; or take the chance that they won't be able to find tiles with just a little bit of chrome or silver to emphasize the gleam on those bath taps. While they are looking they may find a bathroom suite they prefer or a better deal on that kitchen.
Close the sale, offer the tiles. Then add undertile heating, antibacterial sealant, coloured grout, glittery grout and/or a tanking system.
Where bathroom and kitchens are displayed with well chosen tiles the majority of sales will include the same tiles as shown on the display. After all you are selling the dream and not everyone can visualise what a room will look like with different décor. A good tile distributor, TTA member, will be able to help with choosing the very latest designs, and with displays, supplies and technical advice. If you prefer you could negotiate a mutually beneficial agreement with the TTA tile retailer who shares the high street with you. While you are doing this, find yourself a TTA tile fixer to finish the job. He's not a kitchen fitter or a plumber and your plumber and joiner aren't tile fixers. It is extra business for them and added value for you.
