Therefore Roca has created a selection of environmentally friendly ‘eco' stop mechanisms for your bathroom so that you can do your bit to reduce waste without restricting use or compromising on style.

The innovative ‘Ecodisk' cartridge is a flow restrictor as well as a temperature control system which allows you to choose between reduced or full water flow. As you raise the handle you will reach a level of resistance, which will allow 50% of the permitted flow of water. By lifting the lever the maximum flow of water will be achieved.

The stunning Silver Crown basin mixer, is fully fitted with the EcoDisk cartridge, as are the majority of Roca's single lever mixers.

One of Roca's more recent brassware ranges, Thesis, gives a maximum of 6 litres per minute from each inlet and also features built in flow limiter to allow a maximum combined flow of 8 litres per minute for even further water conservation. Roca is also launching a new flow restrictor that can be fitted to all standard single lever mixers and will reduce water flow to just 3.75 litres per minute.

Alternatively, Roca's Thermostatic taps, such as the Touch Deck Mounted 4-Hole Mixer Kit also have built in flow restrictors and temperature regulators which allow the tap to maintain a previously selected constant temperature and save 50% of the water.

An average cistern can hold 6 litres of water and each person flushes 10,800 litres of water per year. However not every flush requires the full amount, which is why Roca has created a selection of water conserving flushing mechanisms. The Double Flush (D2D) has two push buttons so that you can choose the amount of water flow needed and save an incredible 60% so only 4,320 litres of water are used per person per year. Roca will soon be launching a new Giralda WC that will flush at an even further reduced rate of 4.6/2.9 litres.

To control the amount of water flow; also available are Roca's tap flow regulators and limiting valves that can be easily fitted into mixer taps for basin, bath/shower and bidet as well as showers, such as the slimline Atai-T. Roca's latest shower restrictor limits water flow to 6 litres per minute.

For those that enjoy bathing, Roca also offers two eco baths with a reduced capacity of 140 litres, and is planning on introducing another later this year.
