VitrA's bathroom solution for water conservation
Published:  06 June, 2008

VitrA MOD, Ross Lovegrove's second and much-anticipated range for international bathroom brand VitrA, has been described as a global solution for water conservation.

For example, the basins have been designed purposefully shallow to prevent excessive use of water and are also thinner than the average basin, reducing firing time, packaging and ultimately weight to allow the product to be transported more energy efficiently. Meanwhile, the washbasin faucet has a reduced diameter stem to cut down on water use.

VitrA MOD is a flexible range that works with a number of different generic materials to complement contemporary industrial architecture and graphic interior design. The clean, natural lines and organic shaping of the sanitaryware and accessories belong unmistakeably to Ross Lovegrove who has incorporated advanced joystick and cartridge mechanisms to balance the proportions of the different core elements, liberating floors and surfaces from extraneous clutter.
