Huwil of Germany has long been recognised as a pioneer in the field of advanced lift-up systems and has remained one of Unico Components' star product ranges for manufacturers of kitchen and bathroom wall cabinets over several decades. Huwil is now part of the Titus+ Group and under the impetus of new management has launched its 2nd Generation of Huwilift stays, including the user-friendly, bi-fold Senso.
Senso allows folding doors with or without handles to be fitted to the front of cabinets and features the patented Huwil ‘Pinch Guard' protection system to prevent fingers being trapped between the folds of the door.
Senso can be installed in very compact spaces and it is possible to open the doors to any stopping position. As with other lift stays in the Huwilift range, in operation it functions quietly, aided by integral damping to give a ‘soft' close.
The mechanism's compact design only requires a shallow installation depth of 138 mm and is suitable for cabinet heights from 540-900 mm and a large variety of door weights when used with 110 deg concealed hinges. Mounting is easy and there are significant advantages to be gained from time-saving installation and adjustment aspects of the Senso design. The Huwilift range is suitable for both wood and aluminium doors.
In addition to the manual Senso, there is also an electrically-powered version of this lift stay known as E-Senso. Smooth and silent in operation, it is opened by use of a button or sensor and incorporates a safety stop feature that arrests the downward movement of the door if it is obstructed in any way.
