Why use a Lacanche Cooker?
Published:  09 May, 2008

The capacious gas ovens  have a maximum temperature upto 300oC, much hotter than standard domestic ovens -  ideal for roasting, souffles or any cooking where real searing heat is required.

Lacanche electric ovens all incorporate large, powerful 2.5kW grills, covering the whole area of the oven providing even, consistent browning and grilling.  The electric ovens themselves, with a maximum heat of 260oC, again outperform standard domestic cookers.

Lacanche cookers are made in France by a company which has been making cookers for approximately 200 years  predominantly for the commercial market, and it is this knowledge and expertise, honed through years of supplying exacting French chefs with the ranges they require, that has been designed into and incorporated into Lacanche domestic range cookers. Hand made to order, they are elegant looking and make a handsome centrepiece to any kitchen, and are a brilliant companion to a permanently fired range such as an Aga or Rayburn, providing the cooking versatility and control these latent heat cookers lack.
