Italian manufacturer Smeg has launched a washing machine that sets new standards of design. The WMFAB16 lends to the washing machine the same fashion credentials that Smeg has successfully applied to other appliances, its unique and “first to market” appearance a refreshing alternative to all the established looking washing machines.
Available in cream or pink, the retrospective aesthetics of the WMFAB16 belie its high-tech performance. Behind the deep door whose inside contains useful storage compartments is a washing machine that is “A” rated for each of energy efficiency, washing performance and spin drying performance (variable up to 1600 rpm).
Fifteen washing programmes and three special options – Rapid Wash, Easy Iron and Delay Timer – can be selected by the user to enable all garments to be washed under optimum conditions. An electronic display panel makes programme selection simple to use, whilst the extra-large, 300mm porthole door renders the WMFAB16 very easy to load and unload. The machine can take up to 5kg of dry laundry.
