Visitors to the Mira Showers stand at the KBB Show were pleasantly surprised at the impressive range of new products being displayed. The main highlights of the stand included products from the recently launched Mini range of miniature-sized mixers, the design-led Orbis electric shower, shown in the new revolutionary black finish, and the environmentally friendly ECO handset that was demonstrated in a live display.
Displayed alongside standard-sized Mira mixers, visitors were really able to appreciate the compact size of the new Mini mixers. "The Mini range follows the global trend towards miniaturisation of high technology items. They are half the size or normal mixer valves but will deliver the same great performance you would expect from any Mira product," says Roger Crabb, Mira's marketing manager. To further enhance the range, a new Miniluxe Diverter model was on display for the first time, together with two new mixer products incorporating storage shelves.
DESIGN-LED ELECTRIC SHOWERS
Among an equally impressive display of elelctric showers Mira introduced the new Orbis to steal a share of the design-led, upper-mid market electric shower sector. Initially introduced in white, a new stunning black version on the stand attracted much attention. Orbis offers thermostatic control with LCD technology - a first for Mira.
‘LIVE' ECO AREA
The stand included an especially dedicated ‘live' ECO Area, illustrating the high level of commitment Mira gives to developing products that are sympathetic to the environment. The display, which had particular appeal to customers interested in ‘green' issues, featured the new ECO handset. To be sold alone, Eco is suitable for use on mixer and power showers (not suitable for electric models). Designed to reduce the amount of water normally used by up to a massive 75%, which in turn will offer users huge savings in energy to heat the water.
The adjustable Eco handset offers three aerating spray modes that reduce water consumption while still giving a great performance. The ‘ecofficientTM' technology uses a Venturi principle - introducing air without a pump. Mixing air with the water spray creates larger droplets filled with air bubbles to produce similar coverage to conventional, finer sprays giving the impression of increased volume of water and a refreshing shower.
The stand also included a working model of the upmarket Magna BSM Digital shower with remote control. The Magna BSM uses proven Mira Digital mixing technology and offers all the features and benefits of the existing models such as accurate control of flow and temperature, the ability to ‘lock' a selected temperature and flow setting and a Warm Up feature to avoid those cold nasty surprises.
Mira's all-in-one power showers were also represented including the new entry level Vigour. Compatible with gravity fed water supply systems, they're ideal if your customers want to stand under an awesome flow - and they're easy to install and maintain too. The Event and brand new Vigour electric power showers were on show. Also on display were samples from Mira's range of Flight shower trays, displayed with Kohler Daryl Iana cubicles and commercial products from sister company Kohler Rada.
