Renée Mascari, ceo Kitchens, Bedrooms, Bathrooms National Training Group comments: "With continual changes in legislation, technology and consumer knowledge it has never been more essential that personnel at all levels are trained to match the expectations of today's KBB Industry.
With this in mind, a portfolio of courses are available reflecting the training and educational needs of the industry. The courses are delivered by KBBNTG approved providers and cover apprenticeships, installation, building regulations, kitchen and bathroom design and sales.
Acknowledging the need to introduce the KBB industry as a career option the NTG have been working to establish an apprenticeship course for kitchen installation and are in partnership with South Nottingham College who currently deliver a pilot scheme for 14-16 year olds, specialising in kitchen design.
It is essential that to sustain the courses and improve the standard of training and education, our industry must support and embrace the importance of training and ‘stop thinking about it as an unnecessary cost and start thinking about training as an investment'."
