Crosswater is pleased to announce the acquisition of Bauhaus, a national distributor of ceramic basins to the bathroom retail sector.
The acquisition was completed on 5 February 2008 for an undisclosed sum. Located in the South East of England, Bauhaus will relocate, with immediate effect, to the new Crosswater head office and distribution centre in Dartford; all employees have transferred to the new site.
Philip Carr, Crosswater's Commercial Director, comments "I am delighted that we have completed the acquisition of Bauhaus which marks a new chapter in the development of the Group. The extensive product portfolio gives us a great foundation to build upon as we continue to further strengthen the range. The team at Bauhaus has worked incredibly hard to develop the brand and we are extremely pleased to be carrying on this work together".
The business will continue to be marketed under the Bauhaus name and logo, with many new products being launched at KBB 2008. The company will also take this opportunity to introduce new marketing material.
