Matteo Thun presents Water Jewels for VitrA
Published:  14 February, 2008

Water Jewels is Italian architect Matteo Thun's first collection for international bathroom manufacturer VitrA.

The range explores the hot topics of colour, texture and shape in the bathroom through the application of materials as diverse as wood, marble, solid stone and glass, and moves away from the traditional ceramics conventionally used in bathroom design and manufacture.

Flexibility is the key to the collection, with the basins designed to fit either into, or underneath, a ceramic counter.  The basins themselves are also interchangeable, providing a simple solution when changing the appearance of a room or updating it to reflect the latest fashions.  Water Jewels is an effortless yet innovative range, offering consumers a cost-effective, on-trend bathroom with unprecedented longevity.

In addition, the Water Jewels range incorporates a variety of basin covers, which are also available in a selection of colours, materials and designs, providing an innovative answer to the issue of surface space in the bathroom, whilst again contributing to the overall aesthetic appeal and design flexibility.

Even the bath offers a level of adaptability, designed as low level for ease of access in, for example,  a hotel environment where they can double up as a shower tray..
