Wenge and Walnut are often regarded as the exotic woods of choice, but Sapele strikes a harmonious balance on the spectrum between dark and light making it an appealing design alternative.
Sapele appeals to the design-conscious with its richness and depth of colour, while its mellow mid tones will not overpower a kitchen scheme making it an excellent choice for smaller kitchens for example. The worksurface is constructed from 40mm thick staves of timber ensuring a premium specification, as well as being responsibly sourced.
IDS’ Tuscan solid wood worksurfaces offer 10 species that can satisfy a diversity of design styles. Wenge, walnut, teak and sapele strike the exotic top notes that design well with contemporary kitchens, in addition to classic favourites including oak, beech and maple.
A comprehensive range of sizes and specifications is available including 2m, 3m and 4m lengths, 600, 650 and 900mm widths and thicknesses of 28mm, 40mm and 60mm. All products are available ex stock from any of IDS’s 10 branches nationwide.
