Neolith®, one of Europe’s leading brands of Sintered Stone surfaces, announces its expansion in the UK through direct distribution to this valuable market.

The move, which sees the Spanish company establish a dedicated warehouse in Harlow, Essex, was driven by a desire from Neolith to bring operations closer to its customers.

Coming in the wake of the launch of a fourth production line, this recognises the significance of one of the brand’s fastest growing markets for its surfaces, both for residential and commercial applications.

Commenting on this significant decision, Neolith’s UK Business Development Manager Marco De Grazia says: “We were motivated by exceptional growth, having registered a revenue of over €100 million (£88.25 million) last year from sales alone. In addition to having made a sizeable investment in research and development and increasing production capacity since our launch, we wanted to amplify our sales presence and tighten up our logistics within key territories.

“As of February 2018, we have a fully operational warehouse where we are stocking the entire range of Neolith Sintered Stone slabs in all sizes, finishes and thicknesses.”

The uncertainty caused by Brexit also had an influence on Neolith’s decision to establish a stronger foothold within the UK. De Grazia continues: “We’ve no doubt that the UK leaving the European Union will have a considerable impact on businesses across the continent. As one of our biggest export markets, we want to ensure we limit the effects of this eventuality as much as possible to guarantee that we always have the supply ready to meet any increasing demand.

“We are now in a position to confidently assure our UK audience that no matter what happens, we will continue to consistently deliver both quantity and quality.”

Investing to Grow

A new Neolith showroom is also opening in London in spring 2018, where architects, designers and fabricators can see the slabs in application.

This development raises Neolith’s profile within the highly competitive UK surfaces market and is complemented by a newly hired sales team.

Shaun Hopkinson, Neolith’s UK Area Manager comments: “One of our strongest assets is excellent customer service coupled with product expertise. In addition to the warehouse and showroom, an essential element of our current strategy to increase our UK business share is to employ a salesforce of highly motivated individuals.”

He adds: “Passionate representatives are the face of the brand and a vital sales tool. We have carefully selected dynamic and enthusiastic ambassadors who will be well equipped to deal with the increase in enquiries we expect when this news is announced. More feet on the ground will ensure hand-in-hand growth with partners.”
