Close customer ties: Vauth-Sagel at Piensi’s 50th company anniversary

The family-run company Piensi has successfully sold ironmongery for more than 50 years. The company celebrated its anniversary with an event that also offered its partner companies an opportunity to present themselves. For Vauth-Sagel, the promotion day in Paratico in northern Italy was only the start. In future, the company will support the partners that are willing to promote the shop-in-shop system and Vauth-Sagel’s products with events.

Two hundred guests celebrated specialist retailer Piensi’s 50th company anniversary in Paratico in the Brescia province. Vauth-Sagel was present at the event with its innovative and eye-catching shop-in-shop system, installed in the new showrooms Piensi moved into last year. Vauth-Sagel also had a roadshow truck on site and assisted Piensi with the catering, which focused on regional specialities from in and around Brakel-Erkeln, where Vauth-Sagel’s headquarters are located. The visitors were therefore able to taste traditional beer brewed by Vauth-Sagel’s local brewery, Schlossbrauerei Rheder, as well as game sausages, a speciality produced in the uplands of eastern Westphalia; both are “Made in Germany” and of an exceptionally high quality – just like the company’s products.

During the event, the trade audience of cabinet and furniture makers showed great interest in Vauth-Sagel’s system solutions. “The Italian market is extremely important for us,” says Claus Sagel, the Vauth-Sagel CEO. “By participating in such events, we intend to make our space solutions even better known.”

One tool which Vauth-Sagel has provided the Italian retailers with to increase sales is the new shop-in-shop system for presenting its space solutions, which is available in various sizes and versions.  The system is attractively designed in the company’s corporate colours and is therefore bound to make a lasting impression in people’s minds. Nineteen retailers have already recognised its advantages and have integrated the new sales tool into their showrooms.

“For us, the event at Piensi is only the start,” says Claus Sagel. “Italians are extremely design-focused and are constantly looking for new innovative ways to design storage space – which precisely matches our strategy. We want to contribute our share to raising the awareness of our products amongst tradespeople and in the furniture industry – and therefore support retailers that are planning similar events with our roadshow truck or product training sessions as well as catering promotions.”

Piensi was the first stop for the Vauth-Sagel roadshow truck. After the event, the truck started a tour of Italy to present the shop-in-shop system directly on the premises of the local retailers in order to further expand the Italian distribution channels.
